Partners expected to

single location to provide
convenient charging access
for facilities such as hotels,
restaurants, offices or
professionally managed
apartment complexes.

Tesla pays for the installation and maintenance of, and electrity for, Superchargers (the Tesla High-Voltage DC Charger, or Fast Charger), which they own. The other
kind of Tesla charger, called a destination charger,
appears to be paid for and installed by the site owner.

Destination chargers are an amenity to attract Tesla
owners, and are placed at locations where people will
be staying for an extended time, like a hotel. The
property owner can choose whether or not to have a
cost to use the charger.

To qualify for listing on
Tesla’s Find Us map and
Trip Planner, sites must
have regular business
hours, the ability to
accommodate the public
with goods and services
and have full-time
employees on site during
those hours.
