I. SPECIAL MEETING- CLOSED SESSION – CALL TO ORDER - ROLL CALL [6:00 P.M] Vice Mayor Romero Called the meeting to order. Mayor Walker-Griffin was absent at this time.

IA CONSIDER AND TAKE ACTION ON ANY REQUEST FROM A COUNCIL MEMBER TO PARTICIPATE IN A MEETING REMOTELY DUE TO JUST CAUSE OR EMERGENCY CIRCUMSTANCES PURSUANT TO AB2449 Mayor Walker-Griffin requested to attend the Closed Session meeting remotely. City Attorney, Patrick Tang, provided instruction as well as reviewed the requirements of AB2449 for Council Members. Which are necessary for Mayor Walker-Griffin to attend the meeting remotely. Council Members provided no comment. Mayor Walker-Griffin met the criteria for attending remotely. Action was taken on this item. A roll call vote was required. City Attorney Tang, read closed session item. Council Members; including Mayor Walker-Griffin, City Attorney Tang and City Manager, Dante Hall, recessed into closed session.
MOTION: A motion was made by Council Member Kelley to allow Mayor Walker-Griffin to attend the Closed Session meeting remotely, seconded by Council Member Bailey, to approve this . The motion carried by the following vote:

Absent: Mayor A. Walker-Griffin, and Council Member T. Grimsley2 -

1. 22-498 CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - ANTICIPATED LITIGATION - Significant exposure to litigation pursuant to Government Code § 54956.9(d)(2) related to fatal traffic incident located at [Parker Ave at 4th Street].
