RESOLUTION NO. 23-
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERCULES AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH WSP FOR A NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $101,891 FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE WILLOW/PALM SIDEWALK CONNECTOR PROJECT WHEREAS, the Willow/Palm Sidewalk Connector is a large construction project which given current staffing levels and commitments necessitates use of a construction management firm; and WHEREAS, WSP is on the City’s pre-approved vendor list; and WHEREAS, WSP has successfully provided construction management services on large projects for the City in the past, including the Path To Transit Project and Willow Avenue Rehabilitation Project; and WHEREAS, contracting with WSP for the Willow/Palm Sidewalk Connector Project will be cost-effective since they are already in the City providing construction management services for the Sycamore Avenue Trunk Sewer Replacement Project; and WHEREAS, WSP was ultimately selected as the best qualified firm to provide construction management services; and WHEREAS, the Willow/Palm Sidewalk Connector Project is fully funded in the FY 22-23 Adopted Budget; and WHEREAS, closing the gap in the pedestrian network between the Hercules Transit Center (HTC) and the neighborhoods in northeast Hercules and unincorporated County has been a high priority for many years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hercules that the City Council hereby authorizes authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement with WSP for a not to exceed amount of $101,891 for Construction Management Services for the Willow/Palm Sidewalk Connector Project.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the twenty-fifth day of April, 2023 by the following vote of the Council:
