RESOLUTION NO. 23-
Resolution of the City Council of the City of Hercules approving THE ADDITION OF the pUBLIC wORKS supervisor jOB DESCRIPTION TO THE CITY’S CLASSIFICATION PLAN AND APPROVING AN AMENDED SALARY SCHEDULE FOR FULL-TIME TEAMSTERS POSITIONS FOR FY 2023-24 WHEREAS, funding for the new Public Works Supervisor position was included in the FY 2023-24 Budget; and WHEREAS, this position, which will be filled internally, is being created through the reclassification of a Maintenance Worker I/II position and the elimination of a part time Public Works Engineering Intern; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Supervisor position will assist in the oversight and management of the City’s numerous outside contractors and vendors, provide a clear line of authority in the absence of the Superintendent, provide a path of succession and promotion within the Division, and assist in the development and implementation of needed system improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hercules as follows:
The Council hereby approves the addition of a Public Works Supervisor job description to the City’s Classification Plan, effective immediately, set forth in Exhibit 1.
The Council hereby approves the Amended Salary Schedule for FY 2023-24 – Full Time Positions represented by the Teamsters Local 315, set forth in Exhibit 2.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the 27th day of June 2023, by the following vote of the Council:
