RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERCULES AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE SENIOR NUTRITION INFRASTRUCTURE GRANT APPROPRIATING $47,600 FROM FY23-24 TO BE REIMBURSED BY THE GRANT AWARD WHEREAS, the City of Hercules is eligible to receive $47,600 from Contra Costa County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) to enhance and improve the congregate meal services at the Hercules Senior Center; and WHEREAS, the Senior Nutrition Infrastructure Grant must be completed in the 2023 calendar year; and WHEREAS, the City of Hercules wishes to delegate authority to execute this Agreement to the City Manager.
WHEREAS, the City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute the Senior Nutrition Infrastructure Grant and establish the related revenue and expenditure budgets in the amount of $47,600 to implement the award.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hercules as follows:
The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with the Contra Costa County Area Agency on Aging (AAA), a division in the Employment & Human Services Department’s Aging and Adult Services Bureau towards the advanced purchase of equipment and services at the Hercules Senior Center kitchen.
The City Council hereby authorizes the appropriation of related revenue and expenditure budgets for $47,600 to implement the award.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the twenty seventh day of June 2023 by the following vote of the Council:
