Dear Ms. Lam,
As you know we have requested grant funding for essentially a kitchen remodel at our Senior Center, located at 111 Civic Dr., Hercules, CA 94547. Please see the completed Equipment Justification Form per your request. Additionally, I’d like to add our goal for the remodel is to make our kitchen safe for our staff, senior volunteers and our senior members that use the facility daily. These improvements will help get us in compliance (i.e. 3-compartment sink), and make life easier for those that help serve our senior community on a daily basis.
The Senior Center is owned and operated by the City of Hercules. It is one of many city owned facilities. As you can imagine, owning several facilities and properties, there are always many competing needs. Our proposed improvements would not be done if not for this grant.
I am working on securing formal quotes from contractors, for the work on the flooring, the counters, the cabinets and plumbing. I will try to get these asap. Otherwise, I will look to forward some email correspondences from a couple different contractors about these items in hopes that this will suffice.
