SUBJECT: City Council Regular Meeting Dates for 2024
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Review the schedule of City Council Regular Meeting Dates in 2024 and consider canceling one or more regular meetings in August.
DISCUSSION:
The City Council traditionally takes a recess for one or two meetings in August of each year to allow for vacations, and generally cancels the second meetings in the months of November and December if they fall on holiday weeks.
August meetings are scheduled for August 13th and August 27th. The November 26th meeting is on Tuesday, the week of the Thanksgiving holiday. City Offices will be closed November 27th and November 28th. The December 24th meeting falls on the Christmas Holiday with City Offices closed December 20th through January 1st.
Attached is a 2024 Calendar showing all City Council and Commission meeting dates and dates when City Offices are closed due to holidays.
FISCAL IMPACT OF RECOMMENDATION:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.
