Principal
Stuart has 40 years of experience in both building
and campus-scale projects, focusing on unique and
complex programs. From space programming to
facilities management, he has been an integrator on
both public and private projects through his career,
endeavoring to innovate design through project
delivery forms, leading-edge technology solutions,
and internal team development. As Director of
SERA ’s Workplace Studio, Stuart defines high-value
workplace approaches and helps clients translate
them into solutions that fit their organization.
Shweta Mhatre | LEED AP
Associate, Project Manager
Shweta brings more than 18 years of diverse
experience in public, workplace, retail, mixed-use,
performance and adaptive reuse spaces. She
excels at building collaborative relationships with
multiple partners to facilitate innovative solutions
and successful project completion in a fast-paced
environment. Before SERA, Shweta designed and
led a team of consultants on projects for various
public agencies in the Bay Area, including the cities of Alameda and Berkeley, and is currently working with
the City of Hercules through an on-call project.

Marc Abadie | AIA, CSI
Associate, T echnical Design Director
Marc has more than 20 years of experience involving
complex building types, from healthcare to higher
education to high-rise, multifamily housing. Marc
provides organization and leadership to project
teams as well as the ability to understand clients’
objectives and realize them into simple and effective
solutions.As T echnical Design Director at SERA,
Marc oversees administration of the firm’s Quality
Management policy, aids project teams with
technical building system and process questions, and
organizes collaboration between the specification,
construction administration, and production and
