RESOLUTION

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERCULES APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING “MOU” WITH THE HERCULES POLICE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2024, THROUGH JUNE 30, 2025 WHEREAS, the most recent agreement between the City of Hercules and the Hercules Police Officers Association (HPOA) expired on June 30, 2024; WHEREAS, the City and the HPOA have been engaged in negotiations for a successor Memorandum of Understanding (MOU); WHEREAS, the resulting MOU reflects a one-year package that will enable the City to provide reasonable workforce stability; WHEREAS, the ongoing costs of approximately $126,000 (3% COLA) are included in the FY 2024-25 Adopted Budget and there is sufficient funding for the one-time costs of approximately $165,000 (5% One-Time Retention Pay).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hercules as follows:
The City Council hereby approves and authorizes the City Manager to sign and implement the Memorandum of Understanding with the Hercules Police Officers Association covering July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the 22nd day of October 2024 by the following vote of the Council:
