RESOLUTION NO. 24-
Resolution of the City Council of the City of Hercules approving THE ADDITION OF a Landscaping and lighting program coordinator jOB DESCRIPTION TO THE CITY’S CLASSIFICATION PLAN AND APPROVING AN AMENDED SALARY SCHEDULE FOR FULL-TIME TEAMSTERS POSITIONS FOR FY 2024-25 WHEREAS, funding for the new Landscaping and Lighting Program Coordinator position was included in the Adopted FY 2024-25 Budget; and WHEREAS, this position will be funded through Landscaping and Lighting Assessment District (LLAD) revenue but have no cost impacts on the 5 Districts except for an increase in $70,000 to LLAD 83-2 Zone 10 Citywide Parks as other staffing resources will be reallocated to Facilities Maintenance in the amount of $106,000 to fully fund this new position; and WHEREAS, the additional resources allocated to Citywide Parks will be to implement recommendations in the newly adopted Parks Master Plan and the resources allocated to Facilities Maintenance will address the backlog in deferred maintenance; and WHEREAS, the Landscaping and Lighting Program Coordinator position will provide oversight of the contract landscaping, tree trimming, weed abatement in open space, hazard tree removal, and streetlight repairs; respond to citizens’ requests including use of the City’s reporting software; and act as a liaison between the contractor and residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hercules as follows:
The Council hereby approves the addition of a Landscaping and Lighting Program Coordinator job description to the City’s Classification Plan, effective immediately, set forth in Exhibit 1.
The Council hereby approves the Amended Salary Schedule for FY 2024-25 – Full Time Positions represented by the Teamsters Local 315, set forth in Exhibit 2.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the 12th day of November 2024, by the following vote of the Council:
