HERCULES CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. _________
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERCULES, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH SNG & ASSOCIATES, INC. (AGREEMENT NO 24-067-CM) WHEREAS, A Professional Services Agreement (Agreement No. 24-067-CM) was executed on November 7, 2024 with SNG & Associates, Inc. to provide Interim City Engineer Services; and WHEREAS, SNG & Associates, Inc. has been providing engineering support to the City of Hercules Public Works Department, including Interim City Engineer services, capital improvement project management, and land development review; and WHEREAS, the City anticipates continued need for these services to support municipal operations, review private development projects, and manage ongoing capital improvement projects, and WHEREAS, to ensure uninterrupted support, staff recommends approval of Amendment No.1 to the Professional Services Agreement to increase the compensation amount from a not-to-exceed amount of $49,980 to $100,000, and WHEREAS, the Interim City Engineer services will be provided on an as-needed basis under a time-and-expense agreement, not to exceed $100,000, with funding included in the FY 2025-26 budget under the Public Works Department’s operating budget; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to enter into this Amendment No.1 to the Professional Services Agreement to ensure high-quality technical oversight and project management support.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hercules as follows:
Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with SNG & Associates, Inc. (Agreement No 24-067-CM) increasing the Compensation from a not-to-exceed amount of $49,980 to $100,000 for the continuation of Interim City Engineer Services.
The City Council authorizes the City Manager to take all necessary actions to implement this agreement, including approving any minor amendments or modifications, provided that the total contract amount does not exceed $100,000.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the 11th day of March, 2025, by the following vote of the Council:
