HERCULES CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION NO. 25-_____
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE SYCAMORE AVENUE TRUNK SEWER REPLACEMENT PROJECT AS COMPLETE AND AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION WITH THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY RECORDER’S OFFICE AND FINAL PAYMENT TO CONTRACTOR WHEREAS, the Sycamore Avenue Trunk Sewer Replacement Project contract was awarded to Cratus, Inc. for the low bid amount of $11,615,866 with a 10% contingency of up to $1,161,587 at the December 13, 2022 Council meeting; and WHEREAS, Cratus, Inc. began the work shortly thereafter; and WHEREAS, the project was completed for $12,641,622.58 that included change orders in the amount of $1,402,166.58 necessary to complete the project and enhance sewer system capacity and reliability; and WHEREAS, the project has been completed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications to the satisfaction of the City Engineer; and WHEREAS, the Notice of Completion must be filed with the Contra Costa Recorder’s Office to allow final payment to be made to the contractor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hercules that the City Council hereby accepts the Sycamore Avenue Trunk Sewer Replacement as complete and authorizes the filing of the Notice of Completion, attached hereto, with the Contra Costa County Recorder’s Office and remittance of final payment to the contractor.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the 24th day of June 2025 by the following vote of the Council:
