RESOLUTION NO. 25-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN AMENDMENT 1 TO THE ORIGINAL PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH M-GROUP INCREASING THE CONTRACT MAXIMUM FROM $125,000 TO $166,133 USING EXISTING FUNDING WHEREAS, pursuant to Professional Services Agreement 25-040, M-Group provides part-time staffing services to the Community Development Department by providing the services of an Associate Planner averaging 16 hours per week; and WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget for M-Group’s contract staffing services was approved through the Community Development Department’s budget as $136,133; and WHEREAS, City Council Resolution 25-031 approved the Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget plan and references M-Group funding as $125,000, which is $11,133 less than the approved appropriation for this service; and WHEREAS, In order to maintain continuity of service, Professional Services Agreement No. 25-040 for $125,000 was executed and became effective on July 1, 2025. The Agreement was executed with the understanding that an amendment would be needed to add the remaining $11,133, bringing the total to the budgeted amount of $136,133; and WHEREAS, there is an additional $30,000 in developer deposits that should also be allocated to M-Group for review of Planned Development Plans (PDP); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hercules as follows:
The City Council authorizes the City Manager to sign a Professional Services Agreement Amendment 1 that is substantially similar to Exhibit A, which increases the M-Group budget by $41,133 for a total of $166,133 for services provided during fiscal year 2025-26.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the 9th day of September, 2025 by the following vote of the Council:
