RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERCULES AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN THE TRANSITION SERVICES STUDENT WORK AGREEMENT WITH WEST CONTRA COSTA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE 2025-26 SCHOOL YEAR WHEREAS, the Transition Services Student Work Program provides an opportunity to bring special education students to the Hercules Senior Center to assist with programs; and WHEREAS, this Transition Services Student Work Program Agreement reflects the City and West Contra Costa Unified School District’s commitment to partner by offering a work opportunity in a safe manner; and WHEREAS, student workers will perform job tasks for 4 hours per day, 4 days per week; and WHEREAS, the School District will provide a School District-paid, on-site trainer to provide supervision of the student workers, WHEREAS, the District will pay student workers at City of Richmond, CA minimum wage, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hercules as follows:
The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the Transition Services Student Work Program Agreement for the period of September 2025 through July 2026 with West Contra Costa Unified School District to allow for a student work program to operate within the Hercules Senior Center to assist with programs.
The foregoing recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the 9th day of September, 2025 by the following vote of the Council:
