RESOLUTION NO. 25-
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERCULES (CITY) APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CONTRA COSTA TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (CCTA) GOVERNING DISTRIBUTION OF PROGRAM 28B FUNDS IN MEASURE J AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, CCTA manages Measure J sales tax funds and intends to distribute $660,000 of Measure J Program 28b funds to West Contra Costa communities, including a $60,000 disbursement to the City of Hercules; and WHEREAS, The City may utilize the $60,000 of Measure J Program 28b funds for discretionary use for any project or program identified in the Measure J Expenditure Plan or as otherwise allowed by the Agreement and by law; and WHEREAS, The Agreement with CCTA requires expenditure of the funds no later than July 1, 2027, and submittal of proof of such expenditure no later than September 1, 2027.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hercules that the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an Agreement with the Contra Costa Transportation Authority governing the City’s acceptance of up to $60,000 in Program 28b funds from Measure J in the form and substance as the Agreement included in the staff report packet with this Resolution.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the fourteenth day of October 2025 by the following vote of the Council:
