RESOLUTION NO. 26-_____
resolution accepting the BAY TRAIL SOIL NAIL WALL SINKHOLE REPAIR PROJECT contract with E.E. Gilbert Construction, INC. as complete for a total amount of $92,456.60 and authorizing the filing of the Notice of Completion with the Contra Costa County Recorder’s Office WHEREAS, the Bay Trail Soil Nail Wall Sinkhole Repair Project contract was awarded to E.E. Gilbert Construction, Inc. (Contractor) for the low bid amount of $77,505.60 with a 10% contingency of up to $7,751.00 at the September 9, 2025 Council meeting; and WHEREAS, Contractor began the work on April 13, 2026; and WHEREAS, the project was completed for $92,456.60, which included two change orders that increased the original contract price by $3,186.00 and $11,765.00, respectively; and WHEREAS, the project has been completed in accordance with the approved plans, specifications and change orders to the satisfaction of the City Engineer; and WHEREAS, the Notice of Completion must be filed with the Contra Costa Recorder’s Office to allow final payment to be made to the Contractor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hercules that the City Council hereby accepts the Bay Trail Soil Nail Wall Sinkhole Repair Project contract with E.E. Gilbert Construction, Inc. as complete for a total amount of $92,456.60 and authorizes the filing of the Notice of Completion, attached hereto with the Contra Costa County Recorder’s Office.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the 23rd day of June, 2026 by the following vote of the Council:
