HERCULES CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION NO. 26-_____
A resolution OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERCULES accepting the HERCULES POLICE LOBBIES PROJECT contract with GSP cONSTRUCTION, INC. as complete for a total amount of $264,935 and authorizing the filing of the Notice of Completion with the Contra Costa County Recorder’s Office WHEREAS, the Hercules Police Lobbies Project construction contract was awarded to GSP Construction, Inc. at the September 9, 2025 Council meeting for the low bid amount of $255,216 with provisions for up to a 10% contingency of $25,522 for a total authorized expenditure amount of $280,738; and WHEREAS, the Project improved the two existing lobbies at the Hercules Police Department to enhance safety and the public safety officer - customer interface by adding a customer service counter, creating a dedicated lobby area separated from the main police department office, and upgrading to bullet-proof walls; and WHEREAS, the Project has been completed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications to the satisfaction of the City Engineer; and WHEREAS, GSP Construction completed the Project for a total amount of $264,935; and WHEREAS, the Notice of Completion must be filed with the Contra Costa Recorder’s Office to allow final payment to be made to the Contractor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby accepts the Hercules Police Lobbies Project contract with GSP Construction, Inc. as complete for a total amount of $264,935 and authorizes the filing of the Notice of Completion, attached hereto, with the Contra Costa County Recorder’s Office.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the 22nd day of September 2026 by the following vote of the Council:
