CITY OF HERCULES
RESOLUTION NO. 26-
A RESOLUTION OF THE HERCULES CITY COUNCIL APPROVING AN EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT WITH MIKE FUTRELL AND APPOINTING MIKE FUTRELL AS CITY MANAGER WHEREAS, the City desires to hire a professional, highly ethical and qualified City Manager; and WHEREAS, the City engaged the services of Mosaic Public Partners to conduct an open and broad search for the most qualified candidates for the position; and WHEREAS, after conducting interviews of the top candidates, and after receiving and considering input from the City’s department directors, the Council determined that Mike Futrell has the combination of qualifications, credentials, experience, and leadership abilities required to manage the City of Hercules, and has selected Mike Futrell to serve as its City Manager in accordance with the Employment Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit “A”; and WHEREAS, Mike Futrell has agreed to serve as City Manager of the City of Hercules in accordance with the Employment Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit “A”.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hercules that Mike Futrell is hereby employed as City Manager of the City of Hercules in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Employment Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit “A”; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Employment Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit “A” is hereby approved, and the Mayor is authorized to execute said Employment Agreement on behalf of the City of Hercules.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the 22nd day of September, 2026 by the following vote of the Council:
