RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERCULES AUTHORIZING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF $21,750 FOR A PATROL VEHICLE REPLACEMENT WHEREAS, the City of Hercules operates a Police Department to provide law enforcement, public safety, and emergency response services to the residents and community of the City; and WHEREAS, the Police Department requires reliable and properly equipped patrol vehicles to effectively carry out its public safety and law enforcement responsibilities; and WHEREAS, the City Council previously appropriated $132,645.00 from the Vehicle Replacement Fund for the purchase of an administrative vehicle and a patrol vehicle for the Police Department; and WHEREAS, an existing patrol vehicle has reached a condition, age, mileage, or service level that warrants replacement; and WHEREAS, the Council finds that an additional appropriation of Twenty-One Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($21,750) is necessary to provide sufficient funding for the replacement both the administrative vehicle and the patrol vehicle.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hercules as follows:
The City Council authorizes the additional appropriation of an amount not to exceed $21,750 from account the Vehicle Replacement Fund (Account # 450-6210-644.30-02) to purchase two vehicles for the Police Department.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hercules held on the 13th day of October, 2026, by the following vote of the Council:
