RESOLUTION NO. 2023-16
A RESOLUTION BY THE DIRECTOR OF EMERGENCY SERVICES OF THE CITY OF HESPERIA, CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING THE EXISTENCE OF A LOCAL EMERGENCY WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 45 of the City of Hesperia empowers the Director of Emergency Services, to proclaim the existence or threatened existence of a local emergency when said city is affected or likely to be affected by the public calamity and the City Council is not in session; and WHEREAS, the Director of Emergency Services, of the City of Hesperia does hereby find:
That conditions of extreme peril to the safety of persons and property have arisen within the City of Hesperia caused by:
Winter Storm Event
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED that a local emergency now exists throughout the City of Hesperia.
IT IS FURTHER PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that during the existence of said local emergency, the powers, functions, and duties of the emergency organization of the City of Hesperia shall be those prescribed by state law, by ordinance, and resolutions of this city, and by this city’s Emergency Plan, as approved by the City Council.
Local Emergency is declared on February 28, 11:00 am, 2023.
