RESOLUTION NO. 2023-17
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HESPERIA, CALIFORNIA, RATIFYING THE CITY OF HESPERIA’S DECLARATION OF A LOCAL EMERGENCY ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2023.
WHEREAS, the California Government Code §8634 authorizes the City Council of the City of Hesperia to promulgate orders and regulations necessary to provide for the protection of life and property; and WHEREAS, the City of Hesperia established its authority to designate an office authorized to declare a Local Emergency within Chapter 2.20 of the Hesperia Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, on MARCH 7, 2023, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2023-17 ratifying the Declaration of a Local Emergency which was executed at 10:00 a.m. on February 28, 2023 by Nils Bentsen, Director of Emergency Services, City of Hesperia.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HESPERIA CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. All facts as set forth above are true and correct.
Section 2. The City’s Declaration of a Local Emergency issued by the Director of Emergency Services of the City of Hesperia on February 28, 2023 is hereby ratified and is in full force and effect until such time as the Declaration is terminated.
Section 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
