SUBJECT:
Pacific Products & Services, LLC Contract Amendment
RECOMMENDED ACTION
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager to approve an amendment of $90,000 to the existing contract with Pacific Products & Services, LLC for a total revised not-to-exceed contract amount of $220,000, and approve a one-year contract extension for the purchase of traffic signs and sign materials.
BACKGROUND
The Public Works Traffic program is responsible for the installation and maintenance of traffic signs and roadway pavement markers throughout the City of Hesperia. Traffic signs are important and necessary to promote safe driving while navigating roadways through the City. In September 2021, the City conducted a request for proposals for Traffic Signs and Sign Materials, in which Pacific Products & Services, LLC was deemed the lowest responsible/responsive bidder.
ISSUES/ANALYSIS
The current contract with Pacific Products & Services, LLC expires on June 30, 2023, and a contract extension is needed to continue to purchase traffic signs and sign materials. City staff recommends extending the contract for an additional year. Additionally, the vendor has agreed to hold the current contract pricing for one more year through June 30, 2024.
FISCAL IMPACT
Sufficient funding will be included in the Fiscal Year 2023-24 Proposed Operating Budget.
ALTERNATIVES
Provide alternative direction to staff.
