RESOLUTION NO. 2023-60
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HESPERIA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A REQUEST FOR REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE CITY’S RESPONSE FOR ALL OPEN AND FUTURE DISASTERS UP TO THREE (3) YEARS INCLUDING THE 2023 WINTER STORM EVENT WHEREAS, the State of California is eligible to obtain financial assistance under Pubic Law 93-288 as amended by the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988; and WHEREAS, the City of Hesperia is a public entity established under the laws of the State of California; and WHEREAS, State of California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (OES) requires, among other things, that an applicant’s governing body declare by resolution, certain authorizations pertaining to such state disaster assistance; WHEREAS, the City of Hesperia submitted an application to OES for recovery funds related to the City’s response to the 2023 Winter Storm event; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF HESPERIA CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approves the request for reimbursement for the City’s response to the 2023 Winter Storm event; Section 2. Acknowledges this is a universal resolution and is effective for all open and future disasters up to three (3) years following the date of approval.
Section 3. Authorizes the City Manager to execute all matters pertaining to assurances and agreements as required by the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services.
Section 4. That City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
