RESOLUTION NO. 2024-07
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HESPERIA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2023-24 BUDGET TO ACCEPT AND MODIFY THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF THE HESPERIA POLICE DEPARTMENT’S HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT (HSG) AND TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS TO GRANT RELATED EXPENDITURES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Hesperia adopted the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-24 Budget on June 20, 2023; and WHEREAS, the Homeland Security Grant (HSG) amount of $23,730 was included in the City’s FY 2023-24 Budget; and WHEREAS, in January 2024 the City was notified that the Homeland Security Grant (HSG) amount was adjusted by an additional $10,201; and WHEREAS, in order for the Hesperia Police Department and the City of Hesperia to utilize the full total amount of HSG funding, the FY 2023-24 Budget must be amended to accept and include the adjusted grant amount to allow for expenditures and reimbursements.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HESPERIA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the recitals above are true and correct and adopted as findings.
Section 2. That the City Council accepts the Homeland Security Grant adjusted funding amount of $10,201.
Section 3. That the City hereby amends the FY 2023-24 Budget to include the additional HSG funding amount and amending the budget by appropriating an additional $10,201 to Fund 100.
Section 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
