RESOLUTION NO. 2024-38
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HESPERIA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2024-25 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING AN ADDITIONAL $828,718 TO FUND 204 MEASURE I RENEWAL FOR THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION PROJECT AT MAIN STREET AND SULTANA STREET/TIMBERLANE AVENUE, C.O. 7159 WHEREAS, on June 18, 2024, the City Council adopted the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024-25 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget; and WHEREAS, the City successfully obtained a Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant of $899,300 for the intersection improvements at Main Street and Sultana Street/Timberlane Avenue and WHEREAS, the CIP budget was prepared before the design was finalized and a construction cost estimate was received, and WHEREAS, the (FY) 2024-25 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Budget includes funds for the Traffic Signal Installation at Main Street and Sultana Street/Timberlane Avenue, C.O. No. 7159, in the amount of $1,198,371, including HSIP grant funds amounting to $899,300; and WHEREAS, with estimated project costs totaling $2,027,089, additional Measure I funding is required in the amount of $828,718.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HESPERIA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The recitals above are true and correct and have been adopted as findings.
Section 2. The City Council hereby amends the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Capital Improvement Program Budget and appropriates $828,718 to Account No. 204-29-700-7159-7500 for the Traffic Signal Installation at Main Street and Sultana Street/Timberlane Avenue, C.O. 7159.
Section 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions. and adopted by as findings.
