RECOMMENDED ACTION
It is recommended that the City Council Provide staff direction regarding the establishment of an ad-hoc Committee consisting of two City Council Members focused on areas of mutual interest with the Hesperia Recreation and Park District (HRPD) as requested by Mayor Pro Tem Gregg at the December 17, 2024 Council Meeting.

ISSUES/ANALYSIS
An ad-hoc committee is formed to address a specific issue and dissolved once its task is complete. An example would be the formation of a previous ad-hoc committee with HRPD to negotiate the land transfer for Maple Park. The ad-hoc committee would gather and review relevant information and then present their findings to the Council so that they may make an informed decision on the subject matter.
