Acceptance of the FY 2024-25 CDBG Street Improvements, C.O. No. 7175
RECOMMENDED ACTION
It is recommended that the City Council:
Accept the completed FY 2024-25 CDBG Street Improvements project, Construction Order No. (C.O.) 7175; Authorize staff to record a Notice of Completion; and
Authorize the release of all withheld retention amounts no sooner than thirty (30) calendar days following the date of recordation.
BACKGROUND
On April 21, 2026, the City Council awarded the FY 2024-25 CDBG Street Improvements (Project) construction contract to Sully Miller Contracting Company in the amount of $373,890, including contingency. The Project consisted of the reconstruction of the existing roadway along Live Oak Street, between Maple Avenue and Cottonwood Avenue. The project removed existing asphalt and placed new asphalt to restore the roadway surface.
ISSUES/ANALYSIS
All construction work was completed in May 2026 with a total expenditure amount of $288,732. Upon acceptance of the Project, a Notice of Completion will be recorded, and the retention held by the City will be released after a minimum of thirty (30) days from the date of recordation. Upon City Council acceptance, the project will be under a one-year warranty.
