CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS
Mayor Freedland wished Council Member Weber's daughter Aubrey a Happy Birthday.

Mayor Freedland stated that January 13, 2023 is the last day to drop off Christmas trees at the bins at City Hall and Community Center.

Council Member Loggia asked his fellow Council Members and staff why the City Council has two meetings a month instead of one. Mayor Freedland responded that if there is no business before the City Council then it would be canceled. However, most items that come before the Council are of a timely matter and need to be addressed within a certain amount of time. If there is a consensus of the City Council to agendize this item for discussion then staff will include it at an upcoming meeting. The Council was in consensus.

Council Member McCorkindale stated that with the retirement of Council Member Siegel, there is an opening on the Ad Hoc Burglary Task Force and she would like to nominate Council Member Loggia. Mayor Freedland commented that he had spoken with staff regarding City Council Committees and wanted to agendize it at a future meeting.

STAFF COMMENTS
City Manager Kallman reminded the City Council and residents the City and Building and Safety will be closed on Monday, January 16 for the Martin Luther King holiday and there will be no inspections performed.
