AUDIENCE
Resident Marlene Nahum addressed the City Council extending her and her family's gratitude to the City of Hidden Hills and their neighbors who extended their thoughts, prayers, and understanding. She lived half her life in Israel. and her family is there. This is a very, very tough time that we're all going through as a community, and also overall in the world. This is not just about Israel. This is about terrorism, and it's all around us. She is grateful that the City of Hidden Hills chose to recognize that terror is completely unacceptable and stand firm with Israel and its right to defend itself.

NEW BUSINESS
Consideration of a Resolution Condemning the Recent Attacks on Israel and Standing in Solidarity with Israel and Its People and Authorization of a Letter to President Biden Calling for Continued Support of Israel and the Fight Against Terrorism Mayor Freedland stated that he attended an event in the City of Calabasas rallying support for Israel and speaking against the barbarism and the terrorist organization Hamas. There was a wide range of speakers that made the event very heartwarming. With the help of resident Alex Werner, a letter was drafted, and a Special meeting was scheduled, which is why they are here tonight.

Mayor Freedland then read out loud the draft letter to President Joe Biden and Council Member Weber read out loud the draft resolution (both are attached to this document).

As there was no more discussion, Upon MOTION by Councilmember Loggia, seconded by Councilmember Weber, and unanimously carried on a roll call vote, it was resolved to approve the letter to President Biden and direct the Mayor to sign it, and also approve Resolution No. 1016 entitled: A RESOLUTION CONDEMNING THE RECENT ATTACKS ON ISRAEL AND STANDING IN SOLIDARITY WITH ISRAEL AND ITS PEOPLE.
