CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
AUGUST 25, 2022
CALL TO ORDER
The special meeting of the City Council of the City of Highland was called to order at 9:30 a.m. by Mayor Pro Tem Lilburn at the Donahue Council Chambers, 27215 Base Line, Highland, California.

CITY COUNCIL LEGISLATIVE
1. City Clerk’s Certification that There are Not More Candidates Than Offices ( 2) to be Elected in District 2 and District 4
City Clerk Hughes gave a brief review of the staff report.
A MOTION was made by Mayor Pro Tem Lilburn, seconded by Council Member Chavez, to receive and file the City Clerk's Certification that there are not more candidates than offices ( 2) to be elected in the City Council District 2, and City Council District 4; appointed Anaeli Solano to office, the one person nominated in District 2; appointed John P. Timmer to office, the one person nominated in District 4; and canceled the election in the two districts. Motion carried, 4-0, with Mayor McCallon being absent.

CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT TO TWO CITY COUNCIL OFFICES FOR DISTRICT 2 AND DISTRICT 4, AND CANCELLING THE NOVEMBER 8, 2022 MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN THOSE DISTRICTS
