Call to Order
The special meeting of the City Council of the City of Highland was called to order at 6:49 p.m. by Mayor Lilburn at the Donahue Council Chambers, 27215 Base Line, Highland, California.

Report From Closed Session
City Attorney Marroquin stated the City Council met in closed session regarding Conference with Legal Counsel Government Code Section 54956.9 (d)(2): (One potential case), a point has been reached where, based on existing facts and circumstances, there is a significant exposure to litigation against the City and Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(4): (One potential case).
Direction was given to legal counsel; however, no reportable action was taken.

City Council Legislative
1. Cooperative Fire Protection Agreement Extension
City Manager Zamano gave a brief review of the staff report.
A MOTION was made by Councilmember Timmer, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem McCallon to authorize the City Manager to execute an extension to the Cooperative Fire Protection Agreement between the City of Highland and U.S. Forest Service. Motion carried, 5-0.
