Councilmember Perez led the Pledge of Allegiance.

4. VERIFICATION OF AGENDA POSTING
City Clerk Jennifer Woodworth reported the agenda for the City Council of the City of Hollister special meeting of April 22, 2024 was posted on the bulletin board at City Hall on April 19, 2024 at 4:45p.m. per Government Code Section 54954.2.
5. COUNCIL BUSINESS
5.1 FISCAL YEAR 2024-25 CITY COUNCIL GOAL SETTING WORKSHOP Public comment opened at 6:03 p.m.
Sherrie Bakke spoke in support of promoting Hollister and San Benito County as a tourist destination and spoke regarding various tourism initiatives that could be pursued.
Public comment closed at 6:05 p.m
City Manager David Mirrione provided the staff report and introduced Shawn Spano, PhD, who will facilitate the workshop.
Dr. Spano reviewed the results of the pre -interviews he held with members of the Council and City department heads and spoke regarding the importance of strategic planning and setting objectives.

The City Council discussed proposed strategic goals and provided suggestions for objectives within each of the four strategic goals.
Dr. Spano discussed the characteristics of high -functioning staff and legislative bodies.
