PRESENTATIONS:
2.1: Recognition of Hughson Police Services Deputy Pedro Ramirez, for His Quick Actions in Saving a Citizen from a Fentanyl Overdose on May 9, 2024. 1 City Council Minutes July 22, 2024
Mayor Carr presented Deputy Ramirez with a certificate of recognition. No action was taken.
3. CONSENT CALENDAR:
3.1: Approval of the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 24, 2024.
3.2: Approval of the Warrants.
CARR/STRAIN 5-0-0-0 motion passes to approve the Consent Calendar as presented, with the following roll call vote:

8.1: Staff Reports and/or Comments:
City Manager Romo informed the City Council that IT will be upgrading their surface pro devices in the near future. She also provided an update regarding her monthly report.
Director of Finance Weimer updated Council on the status of the fiscal year end close.
City Clerk Gose provided a reminder regarding a Candidate Information Meeting on July 10, 2024.
Community Development Director Jauregui reminded the Council about Movie Night on July 12th at the Community Center.
Chief Mackinnon provided the latest Hughson Police Services Statistical Report.
8.2: Council Member/Mayor Comments:
Councilmember Strain thanked staff and Deputy Ramirez for their hard work.

Mayor Carr shared information learned during his attendance at the U.S. Mayor's Conference last month.
Mayor Carr adjourned the meeting into Closed Session at 6:24 PM.
9. CLOSED SESSION TO DISCUSS THE FOLLOWING:
9.1: CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATORS
Agency designated representatives: Dominique Romo, City Manager Employee Organization: Operating Engineers Local Union 3 The Council returned from Closed Session at 7:39 PM. All council members were present for the duration of the session. No reportable action was taken.
