2.2: Recognition of Bob Bettencourt for His Retirement from the Hughson Volunteer Firefighters Association.
The City Council recognized Bob Bettencourt for his retirement from the Hughson Volunteer Firefighters Association.
CONSENT CALENDAR:
3.1: Approval of the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 28, 2025.
3.2: Approval of the Warrants.
3.3: Reappointment of Michael J. Day as the Hughson Representative to the Measure L Citizens Oversight Committee.

City Manager Romo updated the Council on her attendance with the school mentoring program and the City/School 2+2 Committee meeting, as well as at a conference on Economic Development hosted by the California Association of Local Economic Development (CALED).
This opportunity was made possible through Opportunity Stanislaus.
Director Jauregui provided an update regarding a pickleball court in Hughson. She commended city utilities staff for certification achievement. She provided an update regarding Little Lumineers, Park After Dark, and a Hughson Farmer's Market. 2 City Council Minutes May 12, 2025

Councilmember McFadon attended the Peace Officers Memorial Service. He attended the Hughson Volunteer Firefighters Association Chicken BBQ, and a StanCOG meeting.
Councilmember Vasquez attended the Hughson Volunteer Firefighters Association Chicken BBQ.
Councilmember Strain attended the State of the Hughson Unified School District Address on April 27, 2025. She participated in Senior Exit Interviews on April 30-31, 2025. She attended the City-Wide Yard Sale on May 3-4, 2025. She attended a Measure B Committee meeting on May 5, 2025. She attended a Hughson Ministerial Association Leadership Breakfast on May 9, 2025.
She attended the Hughson Volunteer Firefighters Association Chicken BBQ, and a City/School 2+2 Committee meeting on May 12, 2025. She thanked the public works staff and Hughson Police Services for their continued hard work.
Mayor Pro Tem Crooker attended the State of the Hughson Unified School District Address on April 27, 2025, and a City/School 2+2 Committee meeting on May 12, 2025. He thanked the public works staff and Hughson Police Services for their continued hard work.
