To whom it may concern:

I would like to know why Mayor George Carr could even potentially be reimbursed for the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

This conference is for Mayor's with city populations over 30,000. The winter meeting in January which George is attending focuses on federal engagement, including dialogue with the White House, Congress, and federal agencies, for issues that are not directly relevant to the City of Hughson. The platform is for mayors to share best practices on how they are tackling challenges, and Hughson does not face challenges remotely close to cities with large populations of 30,000 or more.

I would like an explanation as to why the City would reimburse George for almost $6000 out of the struggling General Fund for a conference that doesn't directly apply to this City.
