RESOLUTION NO. 2022-04
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING A PIERHEAD LINE ADJACENT TO TRACT 5829
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach desires to establish a pierhead line which provides a wharfage width of 25 feet adjacent to Lots 6 & 7 of Tract 5829.
A pierhead line is a line between a bulkhead and a waterway which separates the area open for navigation from the area in which mooring and docking of vessels are permitted; and Pursuant to Section 13.32.020 of the Huntington Beach Municipal Code, the distance from the bulkhead line to the pierhead line is determined by the City Council, and this determination is generally made at the time of the Tract Map approval and the pierhead designated on the final Tract Map. However, no pierhead line was established in front of Lots 6 & 7 of Tract 5829.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that there shall be established a pierhead line which provides a wharfage of 25 feet adjacent to Lots 6 & 7 of Tract 5829.
The establishment of said pierhead line has been coordinated with the Army Corps of Engineers and is in conformance with the City policy.
The property involving said pierhead line is adjoining Tract 5829 is illustrated in the attached Exhibit "A" which is incorporated by this reference and made a part hereof as though fully set forth herein.
