CIVIC INTERESTS
Mainting the uniqueness of Huntington Harbour and Huntington Beach as a whole but with a vision that growth and change are also important and able to occur while preserving tradition and history. Thave a continued interest in maintaining the desirability as Huntington for a place to live and a place to visit. • I want to see this community continue as one which is close, fun, welcoming and safe.
HOW WILL YOUR QUALIFICATIONS BEST SERVE THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY? My legal, business and yachting background serve as a great set of qualifications. I can bring information from other harbors facing similar issues through my yachting connections. My business and legal background afford me the ability to listen, reason and negotiate. The fact that The harbour is my home means that I have its best interests at heart. Thave lived in other communities so also know what has worked and not worked in other areas.
WHY DO YOU WISH TO SERVE ON A VOLUNTEER CITIZEN'S BODY? I believe it is important to give back to one's community and I believe this particular commission is particularly suited to my interests as someone who lives in the harbor and my background as an attorney, boater and director amongst various different yachting associations.
