Subject: Thank you for your service and your patience (to Council of Nov 2022) To our existing City Council in place through December 5, 2022:
I attended a City Council meeting for the first time ever a week ago, despite my having lived in Huntington Beach for 25 years. I was surprised by the significant amount of hostile and negative commentary you endure. I imagine this must be a frequent occurrence unfortunately.
I wish instead that the dialogue were more constructive and diplomatic. Regardless, I did want to at least say thank you. Thank you for your patience and tolerance in listening to public commentary that often seemed loaded with divisive and even toxic content. I appreciate your willingness to serve our city in a role that seems somewhat unappreciated.
