Introduction of Ordinance No. 4280
Amending Chapter 2.109 of HBMC

Background
At the January 17, 2023 City Council meeting, City Council directed the City Manager to return with an ordinance to amend HBMC Chapter 2.109 and modify the Finance Commission’s duties, meeting frequency, and other adjustments.
Proposed Ordinance 4280
Per Council direction, proposed Ordinance No. 4280 would expand the Finance Commission’s duties to its previous scope of work related to the City’s finance planning. The Commission can also make recommendations to Council, deemed necessary.
With this amendment, the Finance Commission would meet monthly in the Council Chambers.
Recommendation
Approve for Introduction Ordinance No. 4280, “An Ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach Amending Chapter 2.109 to the Huntington Beach Municipal Code Regarding Finance Commission.”
