Greetings Mayor Strickland, Pro Tem Gracey Van Der Mark, Councilman Pat Burns and Casey McKeon.
Thank you Mayor Strickland for leading the Council on the right path during your time serving as Mayor. You did it professionally, instituted so many new things like the coffee meet ups and town halls and all the activities you participated in. I don't recall anything like that other than ribbon cuttings from the previous council or photo ops from the previous majority. I also don't recall any other council who listened to the citizens and accomplished so much in one year; unless, it was related to high density or self serving. You have been true to HB and the accomplishments represent that. Thank you so much! Pro Tem Gracey Van Der Mark, thank you so much for all you have done and the items that you have brought forward and your tenacity. You are a saint, for sure. I look forward to your Mayorship. I have never seen a Pro Tem with such leadership, involvement and fantastic input before. So unbelievably refreshing. I know, you know that you have huge support as the votes reflect same!
I would like to share my thoughts on agenda number 23-990 for the exact reason I mentioned above. We need to appoint someone who has a proven track record of dedication to listening to residents (not non-residents , cattle calls,political allies and who have undermined the City Council Majority THAT THE PEOPLE ELECTED. Pro Tem Gracey Van Der Mark, Councilmen Pat Burns and Casey McKeon, you have knocked it out of the park this first year and YOUR MANY SUPPORTERS would be grateful if anyone of you could follow in Gracey's footsteps as Mayor Pro Tem. for the upcoming year. Well wishes to all of you and thank you VERY MUCH!!!
