I hope you will follow resolution 6320 when voting for the next Mayor of Huntington Beach, CA. I have talked to many of my neighbors and they are appalled at the processes by which make decisions. I hope in the next election the citizens of HB will remove the Retrumpican-Four from our council. You were elected to serve all of the people of Huntington Beach and not just your extreme far-right supporters.

TO: The Huntington Beach City Council
The current majority of the City Council is destroying all norms of our local government.

STOP trying to rebuild Huntington Beach in your image. It’s an image not worth seeing.

STOP bringing your culture wars to Huntington Beach. We do NOT want them here.

STOP rewriting the city rules on who serves as Mayor. Gracey Van Der Mark should NOT be installed as mayor. Follow the rules that our City Council has followed for decades. You are acting like fascists.

STOP trying to override our able Librarians by putting your culture war supporters into our libraries to ban books.

STOP spending our tax dollars on pointless lawsuits and appeals that benefit no one in this city.

STOP making sweetheart deals with event producers for millions of dollars in taxpayer funds when the City had no liability to them for the oil spill.

STOP excluding the minority of the City Council in decision making and on boards and commissions. Allow them to serve as the elected officials they are. Your one-sided efforts are clear and apparent. You are denying the citizens who elected them their representation in city government.

Leave us out of your politics and start handling our genuine local issues the way the City Council was intended, or GET OUT!
Richard Rudolph, Esq.
30 Year Resident of Huntington Beach
