Special Knowledge or Skills *
As I run the podcast for the largest women's service organization in the country, (the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution), I have knowledge of video editing, audio editing, writing segments for podcasts, interviews, celebrating our national holidays! That's a big part of what we do in the podcast! We make sure people know and remember our special holidays, commemorating those events and people that are so important to the fabric of this nation. To see this podcast in action, please check out the "DAR Today Podcast" on YouTube and all audio podcast platforms! I am the host and creator (along with a team of 11 assistants) I also have extensive knowledge of Rob. Rules of Order, having served as a city commission in Santa Ana (and also serving in leadership in the DAR.)
Civic Interests and/or Service Memberships?*
I am very interested in our civic history, I study it quite often to learn as much as I can.

Member, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution since 2009 Member, OC Genealogical Society
Past Member, OC Historical Society
Member, U.S. Daughters of the War of 1812
How will your qualifications best serve the citizen advisory group that you are applying for, and why do you wish to serve on this group?*
I have always been interested in celebrating our local history, so when I found out about this commission I almost iumped out of my seat! What a perfect thing for me to be involved with! It is something so dear to my heart: I try to encourage my neighbors, friends, even people visiting from our of town, to take part in our holidays and celebrations, even encouraging them to find the celebrations near them that commemorate the great people of this nation who have come before us!
I am constantly checking out all of our markers in town, and thinking about what other markers should be laid.

As I am so in tune with this for my national podcast, I just feel it would be such a natural fit for me to be a part of this commission. I would just appreciate you giving me an interview as I would love to share my passion about this subject with you.

With regard to the necessary skills, I believe I bring the following things to the table:
• Extensive experience with board meetings, including RRoO, protocol, minutes, etc. • As l am constantly working with committees in my DAR podcast and other DAR work, I have learned how to collaborate and work with with others in a 'board' or commission situation. • Serving as a past city commissioner when we lived in Santa Ana (being elected as Secretary and then Chairman) I understand how the city council/city commissioner structure works. • I am technologically inclined, so researching and working on a computer is not an issue • However, I think one of the best things I bring to the table is my enthusiasm and passion for our community, for our state and this great nation.

I would really appreciate the chance to serve even just one term on this commission! • I certify that all statements made on this application are true and correct to the best of my knowledge. I have read and understand the duties and responsibilities of the particular position that I am applying for and authorize the release of this information.
