Dear City Council,
Respectfully requesting that you approve the official designation of the Huntington Central Park Nature Plateau. Volunteers working with City Staff have worked to improve this area above the Wooden amphitheater. The restroom was moved closer to the park’s campus area and thousands of dollars worth of boulders were placed there, over 10 trees have been planted along with 20 native plants. All of this at little to no cost to the city. The area has been greatly improved.
Thank you for your consideration and we pledge to continue to help improve our wonderful parks.

Dear Members of the Huntington Beach City Council,
I am writing to respectfully request your approval for the official designation of the Huntington Central Park Nature Plateau. This area, located above the Wooden Amphitheater, has seen significant enhancements thanks to the dedication of volunteers working closely with City Staff.
Among the many improvements, the restroom has been relocated closer to the park’s campus, making it more accessible. Additionally, thousands of dollars worth of boulders have been thoughtfully placed, over 10 trees have been planted, and 20 native plants have been introduced—all at minimal to no cost to the city. These efforts have transformed the area into a more inviting and ecologically vibrant space.
We believe that officially recognizing this area as the Huntington Central Park Nature Plateau would be a fitting acknowledgment of the hard work and dedication that has gone into its development. Furthermore, it would ensure the continued preservation and enhancement of this beautiful space for the community to enjoy.

I've been a volunteer with th HB tree society for 10 years now and have been working every Saturday at Urban Forest.
