I am writing in support of the request to approve the official designation of the "Huntington Central Park Nature Plateau" area of our beautiful city park. I have witnessed the many significant improvements to this area brought about by Steve Engel and his dedicated volunteers working with the Huntington Beach City Council over many years.
The relocation of the restroom, the planting of
new trees and native plants, and the placement of boulders have all contributed to the transformation of this space for the enjoyment of all in our community.
I feel officially recognizing this area as the "Huntington Central Park Nature Plateau" would be a fitting acknowledgment of these efforts to maintain and preserve our wonderful city parks.
