CITY COUNCIL (INCL. CMO STAFF) <[email protected]> Subject: Symphony of Flowers
The Symphony of Flowers seems great, but in an attempt to bring in dollars you would be hurting the character of HB and our central park, as well as disrupting long-standing relationships with local organizations such as the HB Historical Society.

Please reconsider allowing this show to take over the most usable area of our park for most of the year. It will especially hurt the Revolutionary War reenactment on the 250th anniversary of the start of the Revolutionary War! Not a good play for the most patriotic city West of the Mississippi!
Please don't take that away from us!

Central Park is a treasure. Please don't compromise its integrity and beauty by allowing business concerns to use the park in a way that will harm our priceless flora and fauna.

Please do not approve the agenda item #15 - Approve and authorize the execution of a License Agreement between the City of Huntington Beach and Flowers of the Sky Entertainment, LLC, for the management and operation of the Symphony of Flowers at Huntington Central Park East located at 18381 Goldenwest Street. https://huntingtonbeach.legistar.com/LegislationDetail.aspx?ID=7050309&GUID=B7B66A6A-E73A-4305-9AD4- 9753AD321903&FullText&fbclid=IwY2xjawHH6YhleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHT_COGcHkPWW5M5Ezrf02R5yqaDJtjIFnS7xkId4pBjwWFwz6libcL- J_Q_aem_ZmCKMcntx_Th7OFWZEnmeQ
Central Park has been revitalized and the natural beauty is really amazing. The Urban Forest and the Shipley to Shore Nature trail are huge assets and are more in line with the what Central Park should offer residents and visitors.

Actually, what about updating the area off Ellis called Lake Ranc, per Google Maps? Get Flowers of the Sky Entertainment to clean up the area and they can do the installation there for a few years then citizens would have a proper lake park after they are done.

Hello – I am a Huntington Beach resident and property owner encouraging the city council to vote NO on Agenda Item 15. As a taxpayer, I am keenly interested in seeing the new majority council focus first on rebalancing our budget and restoring faith that tax dollars are not wastefully being spent.

I enjoy walking the paths in Central Park. They are beautiful as is. We do not need to digitize them with lights and speakers in order for the community to enjoy the space. When the Huntington Beach budget is balanced, then proceed to consider how to add new services, but please do so without electrifying the limited natural space we currently have.

Thank you.
