Legislation is focused on the Appropriations Committees process within the House of Origin.

Many bills are in Suspense File; on Friday, there are hearings in the Assembly and Senate to determine which bills are successful.

The Governor’s Budget was released last Friday; $14-16B deficit calling it the Trump Slump due to tariffs. Budget proposes to significantly borrow from State Reserves and shifts funding between accounts, and both sides are having a hard time managing this approach. B udget must be signed and approved by June 30; this month is mostly focused on the budget. But it is likely that there will be 2-3 paper budgets prior to final ratification at the end of summer.

Working with Strickland on STR legislation (Durazo) SB 346. HB supported as of 3/7/25.

Medicare – no new immigrant enrollments and $100/month for existing patrons.
