Michael Baker's Water/Wastewater Team provides master planning services for regional water distribution systems and wastewater collection systems. Recent experience includes Sub-Area Master Plan Updates for the Tustin Legacy Specific Plan Area in Tustin, the Orange Heights Development in the City of Orange, and the Southwest Area Hydraulic Analysis for the Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency. Our engineers and technical staff are experienced with state-of- the-art software platforms, including Innovyze (Autodesk) software. Our experience also includes integration with GIS platforms, transient (surge) analysis, and computational fluid dynamic (CFD) modeling.
For hydraulic analyses, our team is experienced developing new models, updating and calibrating existing models, and developing capital improvement programs. We incorporate data from hydrant flow tests and pressure data loggers for distribution systems, and from flow monitoring and CCTV inspections for wastewater collection systems. We recognize that it's essential to incorporate the input of both engineering and operations teams to ensure the accuracy of hydraulic models and the successful implementation of the master plan.
