Subject: Celebrate US Olympic Hockey Gold Medal Winning Teams and Declare February 22 nd as USA Hockey Day

ISSUE STATEMENT
The United States Women’s Hockey Team has won three gold medals since women's hockey debuted in 1998, with victories in 1998 (Nagano), 2018 (PyeongChang), and 2026 (Milano Cortina).
The United States Men’s Hockey Team has won three Olympic gold medals, most recently at the 2026 Milan Cortina Games . This February 22, 2026 win ended a 46-year drought following the iconic February 22, 1980 "Miracle on Ice" victory against the Soviet Union.
In classic golden-goal fashion, the 2026 U.S. women’s and men’s hockey teams claimed overtime wins over Canada on February 19th and 22nd respectively.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Declare each February 22nd as USA Hockey Day.
