Minutes of March 16, 2026 meeting: APPROVED (3-0)
1. Federal Legislative Update – None
2. State Update- Louie Brown, Kahn Soares & Conway.
E-bike measures reflective of Mineta Report and many legislators have introduced bills that are moving along through committee.
May-Revise budget being prepared, and revenues projections are above original estimates. There will be continued cuts through the June 15 deadline.
AB 634 Gonzelez. Tianeptine. Creates new crime for sale. IRC voted to support the legislation.
AB 1821 CA PRA. Timing change from calendar days to business days. IRC voted to “Watch” the legislation.
3. Updates from Committee Members. None.
Request to discuss ACA 1 and ACA 13 in May.
4. Staff update.
Lobbying Contracts expire in September 2026, and staff will release RFP in May.
SB 979 was pulled from hearing by Senator Strickland and may be revised next year.
AB 2624 (Bonta) Privacy for immigration support services providers. Bring back in May for discussion..
