BACKGROUND
May 14, 2026, Public Works Department received two bid openings for the Abandonment of Old Pirate Drive Private Water Well Project Living Water Industries, LLC., submitted lowest responsive bid at $34,750.00
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Reject all bids, re-advertise, and re-bid project
EXPLANATION
Bids were opened on May 14, 2026. However, the Notice Inviting Bids was not published in a daily, semi-weekly, or weekly newspaper published in the County or City as required by Section 503 of the City Charter.
Staff therefore recommends rejecting all bids and re-advertising the project. Staff will coordinate with the City Clerk’s Office to properly publish the Notice Inviting Bids prior to rebidding the project.
